When Should I Rebrand?
Welcome to The Collective
It’s Tiana here to chat about rebranding.
We kicked off the year with a rebrand and I wanted to give you an insight into my process and a guide that you can use if you’re considering a rebrand for your business.
Is now a good time to rebrand?
in my opinion, it’s important to do what I call a ‘brand check-in’ yearly to make sure your values, ethics, voice, and tone all remain the same, in alignment, and that you, as the brand owner, are doing your part in ensuring you’re communicating them well with your audience.
You finally have time to take a deeper look at your brand, and you’re unsure if the vibes still align with what you want it to be. Ask yourself the following questions:
Does your mission statement still agree with your brand?
Do all of your brand elements still look like they belong together?
are your ideal clients or customers approaching you?
are your customers having an easy time finding you?
do you feel like your customers are able to know you and what your business stands for?
If you answered no or I don’t know to any of these questions, then now may be the time. Luckily, you’re in the right place to get it started!
The rebranding process
The first thing I did when evaluating my brand was think about what I didn’t care for in the design aspect of it, and then I began to look at other elements of it.
When we launched Endigo Collective in February 2023, we created a brand guide, but I feel it only scratched the surface of what I envisioned our business being.
When starting a new business, it can be challenging to get a full idea of where you want to position your brand. For me personally, the design and brand positioning were challenging, and if this is something you’re experiencing too, don’t worry, it’s okay!
I was eager to fine-tune our design, which included updating our logos, favicon, colors and even swapping our typography. Jon and I also developed a new brand strategy, which I finalllllly gave us a strong af brand that I’m in love with (and hope you are too.)

Should I rebrand often?
I will always advocate for evaluating your brand often and making changes. However, it’s crucial that you’re making long-term decisions when considering updating the visual elements of your brand. I’ve seen brands update their fonts, colors, or overall vibe too frequently, causing confusion - and making it appear they’re a whole new business.
Rebranding shouldn’t be a seasonal/quarterly process; if you’re considering making a major change, I strongly recommend reaching out to an expert who can best advise on what’s best for your brand.
More often than not, business owners tend to make design-related decisions based on current trends and their feelings, and while you may want to show off your personality, there are many layers to a brand other than purely personal taste, trends, colors, or fonts.
